If a website loads for longer than 2 seconds, the user usually abandons it. The web service operation speed is important from both cost and business perspective (because it has a direct impact on conversions).

Optimised and light applications are cheaper to maintain and, above all, they are more conducive to achieving business goals. The cost of performance optimisation can be offset even within a few months in the form of savings on the server infrastructure.

How is it possible to give such detailed numbers? The parameters come from our experience and results that we have already achieved in our projects. However, it should be remembered that the exact results strongly correlate with the nature and operation principles of the software itself. Each application is different, so before proceeding with any work we perform a thorough analysis of the improvement possibilities. Armed with data from such analysis, we develop an optimisation plan and estimate the expected results. If they satisfy our client, we proceed with the work.

Below, we present the speed of a web application with a continuous load of approx. 400-600 rpm (requests per minute) for which we performed a thorough code optimisation (data comes from a monitoring tool: newrelic.com).
